	Candles are lit as an embodied gesture of prayer or intention in many traditions. To think that there is a place – somewhere – in which there are many candles lit for many conditions is reminiscent of a place we have been, we would like to go, or a place which may possibly be inside us. This is a candle ministry and this is how it works. If you would like a prayer candle lit for yourself or someone you care about, please send us an email at chalmettecm@aol.com. We will use your petition and prepare a candle or series of candles for you, dressing them with sacred oils and herbs which correspond to the nature of your request. Candle vigils last one week. We do not make any claims that our candles are magical or that they can cultivate particular results. Rather, we believe that lighting a candle is to practice selfless vigilance from a place of love, in the face of the Mystery, which we do not claim to understand, but do wish to acknowledge. Your email address will never be emailed to another, posted, or otherwise disclosed in any fashion. Because of your participation you will never be asked to join any groups, participate in any surveys, or receive promotional emails. We request as much of the following information as you are comfortable sharing for the sole purpose of making clear petitions. You may include as much or as little information as you like.
